Step 1 — Free On-Site Assessment

Our installer visits your property at no charge. We measure the pool with laser-precision, photograph the site, discuss your priorities, and recommend the cover types that fit your needs and budget. Allow 30–45 minutes.

Step 2 — Detailed Quote

Within 5 working days you receive a written quote covering: cover specification, manufacture timeline, installation cost, electrical work (for automatic systems), warranty terms, and payment schedule. Quotes are valid 30 days.

Step 3 — Order Confirmation and Manufacturing

On 50% deposit, we begin custom manufacture. For most covers, this takes 1–2 weeks. Hydraulic vinyl systems for complex pool shapes can take up to 3 weeks.

Step 4 — Pre-Installation Preparation (Your Responsibilities)

  • Clear the area: 1.5m clearance around the pool perimeter.
  • Pool water level: At the normal operating level — not drained for installation.
  • Power access: For automatic covers, ensure your electrician has installed the dedicated circuit and RCD before our arrival.
  • Pets: Indoors during installation hours.
  • Decision-maker present: For the final quality check at handover.

Step 5 — Installation Day

  • Manual safety cover: 4–6 hours, single visit. Battens, fabric, ratchet anchors all installed in one day.
  • PoolDeck slatted automatic: 1–2 days. Day 1: tracks and recess preparation. Day 2: slat assembly, motor installation, commissioning.
  • PoolLock hydraulic vinyl: 1–2 days. Tracks, hydraulic system, vinyl fabric, electrical commissioning.

Our installers are NSPI accredited and have all worked with us for at least 3 years.

Step 6 — Handover and Training

Before we leave: full operation walk-through, written maintenance guide, warranty registration completed, payment finalised. Allow 30–45 minutes.

Step 7 — After-Care

30-day check-in call to address any settling or operation queries. 12-month service reminder for automatic systems. Ongoing technical support via WhatsApp or phone.

Electrical Requirements (Automatic Covers Only)

Automatic covers need a dedicated 230V circuit with a 30mA RCD. Most existing pool electrical points are not compliant. Your electrician should install this BEFORE our arrival. We can recommend Cape Town-based electricians familiar with pool cover installations.
